Sara Hartley
head gardener/owner
Fascinated by gardens, edible landscapes, art, local food movements, Sara has traveled from Ireland to Italy, Mexico and Costa Rica to explore different food cultures and terrain. After graduating at UNH with dual major in Business Administration/EcoGastronomy, Sara moved to the tropics and spent 12 years there. While in Costa Rica, she coordinated the farm internship program at biodynamic and organic farm Finca Luna Nueva, co-founded an organic health food store La Farmacia Organica (check it out in Nuevo Arenal!) and designed edible landscapes and permaculture gardens at Brave Earth. Native to New Hampshire, she is back living with her partner Sam and 12 year old daughter, enjoying her newly built cabin on a 1 acre homestead. She is looking forward to continue caring for green spaces, designing gorgeous landscapes and permaculture gardens within New Hampshire and Seacoast Maine. Also a visual artist, you can find her artwork at various shops on the Seacoast. Check out prints of her paintings at Auspicious Brew in Dover, NH and at Wild Peace.
